1984 D90 RHD 2.5D 5speed

Where to start, I picked this up for my daughter and thought it would be a great around town driver for her. I did not anticipate the difficulty in her learning to drive a RHD 5 speed! Wishful thinking on my part I guess so here we go. 1984 D90 2.5 desiel na 5 speed. I had some bulkhead repair done and all spots were cutout and new pieces were welded in . The bulkhead is very solid and the frame is rock solid. The truck was painted and a Brownchurch rack was added. I have 2 new jump seats, only one insalled. The odometer shows 19000 and change and I have no idea if that is actual mileage. The interior is all original, I have replaced the rubber shifter boot and a few other odds and ends. I have a truck cab with sliding back window that will be sold with the truck, so 2 tops. The truck top has not been painted to match the D90. I have several boxes of extras to go with the defender. The Defender runs good, shifts well and all the lights work. I have a clear title in my name and it is tagged and on the road. The bad, even though there is not that much: emergency brake needs new shoes, spots a little oil, doors need adjusting from time to time, body is good and looks great from 10 feet but it is not perfect. All and all it is a solid Defender that you can drive home without breaking the bank, the two tops give you alot of options on setup. I need to sale this and find a suitable replacement for my daughter. I may consider a trade for the right vehicle but it would need to be newer, AT, dependable and cool in her eyes ( FJ, Jeep, Xterra,???) I have priced the Defender at $13,000 with both tops and several boxes of extras. I also have 2 spares. I know I have forgotten alot and I am sure you all will ask those questions and I can fill in the gaps. I will try to respond quickly to any questions and will be happy to talk with you about the truck. Just drop me a PM and we can go from there. The Defender is located in my driveway in Tennessee so come on down and take a look.

I like that a lot... Wish I didn't have a wedding and honeymoon to pay for. Depending on the time frame I may be able to drive down and check this truck out for anyone interested.

This is a nice truck. Jim seems like a great guy and the truck is just as he has described. If I were in the market I would have driven it home earlier today.

SOLD, SOLD, SOLD, and GONE! Well Danny arrived today and is heading North in the D90. It was bitter sweet to see it go but I think it found a great home. Thanks to all for you questions and comments and a Big thanks to ROVERGUY for taking the time to come take a look for others. Now its time to get to work on the 1956 Series 1 and get her back on the road. Thanks again Danny, hope it works out well for you.

Cheers, Jim
