1983 Rhd 110 - $13,000

Hi Everyone:

I have a legally imported (EPA, Customs and NC DMV paper work all in order) RHD 110 for sale at the moment but I may keep it - waffling back and forth. The truck is in pretty good shape although certainly not a show truck. The interior is in good shape with the door panels being the only areas that need immediate attention (I've taken out the bench seats and only re-done the front two rows - I still have the benches in fairly good shape but they are in Brushwood trim while the new seats are in Moorland from Exmoor). The exterior paint is surprisingly nice considering the age of the truck but I'd give it a paint job at some point. The only real areas of concern that I know of are: small hole (thumb size) in bulkhead at window pillar and the pieces behind the sills need to be patched or replaced and the chassis which has some weak spots - probably could be patched but for under $5k I'd go for a galvanized Richards chassis (through DAP) and be done with it. Also, the door frames need to be patch welded and some skin work done - or - you could buy new series III or Defender doors (the door tops are in really good shape and could easily be sold or used on Series III bottoms)(note that two-piece rear doors are hard to come by - best repair the ones on the truck. Rovah Farm has door frame for $40 per 3ft section.

This is a great truck but I have 2 RRCs and a DII and just don't need a project at this time. If no one is interested, I'll just keep it and work on it here and there.

Send email for Pics - I have some here but can't resize to upload.

Thanks, Gavin

Gavin, if you want to send me the pics, I can resize and load here, or just put them up on my website for you so you can get more coverage. I'd love to see the truck (but not interested in buying it )

Gavin, the truck looks great! It's tempting... if only I had the expendable cash. My parents live just down the road so I would be glad to check it out as an unbiased party for anyone interested. Good Luck Gavin.

You should also try posting the truck on www.carolinarovers.org.

Sale Pending

I appreciate the interest from many of you - I was swamped at work and home this week and didn't get pictures to many of you and I am sorry for that - A potential buyer has agreed to purchase the truck unseen next Saturday. If the transaction does not go through, I'll send a set of pictures to all that have asked.

Thanks, Gavin

Congrats. Where did she go? Did you tell the buyer about this forum?

The number of 110's around here is growing

If you are going to convert to auto you need both driveshafts and an LT230 as well.

I can supply parts with a partial trade of the LT 95, towards the needed automatic transmission conversion parts. You need an injected 4.2 v8 also?
