1975 Series III 88 RHD

Selling a 1975 88 series RHD. I bought this about 6 years back in England and had it shipped over. Vehicle runs good and has plenty of work done to it. I have installed a 2.25L 5MB engine with 32/34 DMTL weber carb. New frame, parabolic springs, recent bulkhead repair, recent paint, station wagon body with plenty more work done to it. I have used this as my daily driver for the last 5 years. It has two sets of tires and wheels. One set of tires is Winter Force and the other is Colway mud terrain retreads. Runs great and can answer any questions you have. Email me at gary.wertz@gimail.af.mil I have it listed on craigslist for 7000, see http://omaha.craigslist.org/car/702250794.html . I am willing to take offers. I live around Omaha NE.

is it a stock heater? does it work?

is it a stock heater? Does have stock heater that works. I also installed a aux heater under passenger seat. There are no heater vents coming from dash for floor heat any more.

rust/corrosion? you mention bulkhead repair. how about frame and the rest? The frame and has been changed five years ago. My friend also made a removeable crossmember for the gear box, also makes it easy for the overdrive to come in and out. For the most part the body is in good shape. I have removed the front wheel well splash guards because they were rusted out. Planned on getting some made of rubber.

what is the 5MB engine? The 5 MB is the 5 main bearing 2.25 engine, this came off a British Defender. I just replaced the water pump about 6 months ago.

Are those winter tires studded? The tire are not studded. They were at one time but I had them removed.

The rear axle is actually a Ford 8.8. Took it off a Explorer, I am about to buy new gears for it depending on what I decide to do. The Ford 8.8 is vastly stronger and has more parts availability. The current wheels are 16" Dodge Intrepid which keep the tires inside the wells. Was going to try and get a Dana 44 front so I can match the axles but the deal fell through on the front axle. The closest diff ratio I can find to match stock is a 4.88, and me and a friend are trying to find a dana front.

1975 series III

I have my old faithfull, that I decided I just can't hold onto anymore. I have had fun and love the vehicle but I think it is time to part. the main problem, it needs the engine rebuilt and the it has a nice 2.25 5MB engine from England. It is RHD, has a fairly new frame, it has some nice EXMOOR trim seats. The bulkhead was just replaced, have many small parts. Will send pictures if requested, not asking to much, but I am not able to spend any more on it. No offence just don't want somebody trying to mess it up for the next guy.
