1971 Land Rover Series IIA - Boston, MA

Reluctantly, I am putting my 71 IIA up for sale.

I purchased the truck about 5 years ago. The previous owner had restored the truck 90% of the way and I took it the rest of the way. I have all the restoration receipts/paper work in addition to all the work I completed.

The truck is sitting on a galvanized chassis with a Rovers North engine (less than 10k on it since it was put in).

In addition, the truck also has a

- RoverDrive overdrive

- Rocky Mountain door tops

- Parabolic springs/shocks/shackles

- Steering damper

- Reverse/work light

The paint job was done within the last 5 years. No rust in the usual spots. Bulkhead, door frames, and wheel wells are all solid. Tires still have good tread. Compression and oil pressure are both solid. It has been serviced by Cityside Garage since I have owned it. The truck has some apologies here and there, but overall is a great vehicle for someone who wants to get in and drive.

Looking for 20k obo. I would consider a trade or trade plus cash for a D90, 110, or 109.

Nice truck, interesting what you did to the drivers seat/bulkhead to get a little more room.

GLWS.

From what i'm told the original owner was tall, so he pushed the rear bulkhead back. It looks like he cut half way through, gave it a 45 degree bend and moved all the supports back several inches. It gives a few extra inches. The seats are also on rails which helps a bunch.

The best example is here
