1970 Series IIA in SoCal

Posting this for a friend who does not frequent any LR boards. This is what he knows about it.

The engine ran when it was parked
It was parked because the transmission stopped shifting to 3rd and 4th
Needs work but is complete (I'd start with that front bumper)

This is probably a good basis for a mild restoration project, or get it running and safe, then enjoy as is (minus that hideous front bumper).

He's asking for $3000, PM me if interested.

Javier

My first car in high school was a 1970 IIa. If I were a rich man... (insert Fiddler on the Roof music).

So whats the red car? I was thinking a 63/64 Daimler V8 but the rear wheel opening is throwing me off, seems to be the top of the opening is lower than the Jag 240/340 or Mk2.

Still looking for that place where I can carry a paddle and get asked what's that.

This is always a fun game. My guess is an old Renault Dauphine of a certain vintage, based on that rear wheel well...but I know that's not it.

Yeah, that'd be the obvious answer. 1966 Jaguar S Type 3.8
