1969 SIIa 109 Coiler For Sale

For sale again due to the fact I am in-between professional endeavors. Sucks to be an adult.

1969 SIIa 109, 5 bearing 2.25l petrol engine (with one of Ikes alternator brackets) mated with a SIII gearbox and transfer case, so no double-clutching! It also has a Fairey overdrive and an X-brake. She is not a true bug-eye out of the factory, wings and grill have been swapped out.

She is a coiler on a Designa chassis frame. Front and rear D1 axles give you disc brakes all around. The springs are 1.5 inches larger than stock springs.

She has a 9K winch and a galvy length roofrack with offroad lights that sits nicely over the safari roof. There is a Masai roof ladder and a hi-lift jack mounted on the rear and the spare hangs on the rear door via a stock tire carrier.

Cobra CB radio with a Firestick antenna and a locking Tuffy center console. I have the middle row seats in it, the rear flip down bench seat are available to make it a 9-seater. It has Defender front seats. I also have the door sills in storage. Was going to put sliders on it but now that is not gonna happen.

She is a daily driver and have driven her to Florida, Nags Head and Asheville from the Raleigh area.

The good - its a cool 109 that runs great.

The bad - the door bottoms need some love and the speedo makes a strange noise so I unhooked it. The right rear corner panel got a little wrinkled on the trail.

$22k OBOI emphasize OBO.

I personally think this is under priced... Bring it to the shop and tell the wife it broke down, she would believe that

It would have to stay broke down for a while to keep it under the radar!

Better yet, let's start the v8 conversion! That could take quite a while

I always wondered what happened to this car. I remember when it was originally up for sale, wishing I had bought it. I think the price is fair, considering it still has series drivetrain. To say his price is $30,000 too low is absurd, unless I just woke up in the year 2030. I'd benefit from a price spike myself but let's get real. If a designa coil chassis adds $30,000 to the value of a series than every series owner should do a chassis swap now, including me. WildBoar sorry you have to let it go, good luck on the sale. Someone will be lucky to have it

I'm sure for an upcharge he will throw in the low miles 3.9 v8 with carb manifold, and the R380, you can just have him drop it off with Brewie to make the swap.

she's a good truck

Sorry o2batsea, thought ya were. I must not be in a humorous mood today. Feel free to come by and pull the stick out of my arse, as long as you promise not to beat me with it once you do.

I hate to see you get rid of Beulah.

It's a great truck at a great price from a stand up guy.
