Looks like I will be facing some drastic financial cuts at work within the next month. Unfortunately, to help feed the family, the Series is being put on the market. I honestly don't know what to ask for it, and I would prefer to sell local to Colorado. I don't want to give it away, but come see it and make me an offer!
It is 1967 Land Rover Series IIA 109 NADA 6 cylinder (#329 of 811)
There is some rust on the rear cross-member that has led to a couple holes, but otherwise the truck is rust free. No rust on the bulkhead or floor pans. The truck does not currently run. Supposedly the truck was running and driving when it was parked about 5 years ago, and never started again. I think I have a bad connection to the starter as it it only getting 9 volts. There is a spare 6 cylinder engine that comes weith the truck as well.
Paint is mix and match. Some of the original red has the nice patina of 41 years, but a previous owner started to sand some of the paint off in places, and apparently repainted the front fenders. The newer paint does not match the original patina and is now cracked and peeling.
The interior hard surafces are in great condition, but the soft stuff (seats, door panels, etc. ) probably should just be replaced.
The brakes work as far as rolling down the driveway and needing to stop. The transmision in gear also keeps the truck from rolling for whatever that may be worth.
