1966 SIIA 88' V8 Coiler hybrid project feeler

Life has thrown my family a curveball and I've got to face the reality this build project isn't going to get finished anytime soon. This thing is buried in storage so ill dig it out and take pics if there is serious interest.

Started as a near perfect 66 88" soft top.. Out of state owner sent it to Safari to have it converted to a v8 coil sprung automatic.

It sits on a custom shortened D90 frame and received all new brakes, bushings etc etc.

Engine is a zero mile rebuilt 3.5 v8 with edelbrock intake and carb.

Zf auto trans and t230 transfer case.

There is about $15k in parts and labor into this build not including the 3 donor vehicles (88",D90 and RRC) and i have titles for the 88" and classic.

The guy ran out of money so the truck was never finished. He ended up gifting the entire project to a friend local to SHP who let it sit under a carport so its crusty and the engine was wrapped in a tarp and shows a fair amount of oxidation. No rust on the frame and the body is very straight. Some surface rust on the firewall and running gear but its never been driven or sat in the rain.

I have a new soft top, roll bar and partial hoop set id consider letting go with it as well but not included in the price.

Parts needed to finish that I'm aware of are driveshafts, distributor and interior.. Everything else is there as far as i can tell.

Id have to get somewhere in the $6K range to let it go. If you have serious interest PM and ill drag it out this weekend. Truck is located in FL

I should add that the body is on the frame and the engine and trans etc are all installed. So it is a roller not a collection of parts. Im told they had it running before the guy pulled the plug. BUT IT DOES NOT DRIVE>> no distributor..no driveshafts...rolling project.

OFF THE MARKET.. Sorry guys...You can blame one of your fellow board members for providing me a moment of clarity. Id be silly to let it go and have been offered help to finish the LHD conversion and get it running and driving.

Bugger - sorry guys - I was going to buy it and made the mistake of telling him what I was going to do. Now we will all be able to drool over this project in a few months.
