1966 IIa ambulance camper $12,000

1966 IIa ambulance $12,000

Good chassis*
12v
New brakes, and wheel cylinders all around
New battery, distributor, plugs, leads, and coil*
New Weber carburetor, and replaced most engine hoses.
All electrical's completely gone through*
New set of five 235/85/16 Discovery AT4 tires*
New exterior paint (was taken down to bare metal)
Ready for winter with radiator muff, lower hose heater
Great heating
Engine runs great!*
Air raid siren*
4 person bench seat with seat belts in rear
Three stretcher beds, makes a great camper!
All interior lights work
Rear fans for air
Lots of storage

This is an excellent example of a British army ambulance. It includes one stretcher and sleeps 2 comfortably or 3 people if you were to buy one more stretcher: rails for stretchers on upper beds are fitted already. All interior lights work. Even the rear stretcher fans work. This is a great runner and would make an amazing camper or hunting camper for someone or a small family. Lots storage with all the extra hidden bins inside and out. Heat works excellent for a Rover but could use new door seals. You will not find another ambulance as ready to go as this one!

We have been using it as a camper all summer. It's been amazing. I'm only selling because I just got a Pinzgauer 710K with camping trailer so the Ambulamce is no longer needed.

I had to google what a Pinzgauer is. Very cool toy no wonder you to need to make some room.

How does the series do on the fire roads up in VT or off-road in general? Can it hold highway speeds (55 mph)?

Nice looking truck. GLWS

I have a question...

What's the * at the end of some of the things done for?

What's the fine print/disclaimer?

Not sure my wife wrote up the add.....she is proper British so her English confuses me.

It will do 60-65 on flat bits and does very well of road. Just need to remember to weigh a bit more and are a little bid wider and longer.

I actually think t rides a lot better then my other 109 military. It also does very well in the snow.

How is the bulkhead, doors and outriggers? I'm assuming no overdrive and the standard 4cyl petrol engine?

Could a center seat be mounted or is there a modification to the seat box in the middle?

Out rigger's, frame and bulkhead are all in very good condition. Can not place center seat as it has the larger cold weather heater. No OD and the 2.25 that starts ad runs better then any I have ever owned.

I can take picutres of what ever you want. It's in amazing shape we would just like to see it go to a good home. Could also include new snow tires if going to a winter location. It does amazing in the snow.
