1961 Series IIa 109

No connection to me but thought it was beautiful.

Here is a link http://www.coopertechnica.com/1961-L...tion-Wagon.php

David Cooper of Cooper Tecnica did the restoration.

Not a fan of the seats, and wish it had a better powertrain.

Love the cage and the hatch.

It came up in another thread recently and it was quite pricey (but I don't recall the details). Is it me or are there no sills on that main shot?

If you have to ask...

From looking at their website, they are the ECR of very old cars. I would guess that they Series truck has to be 80K.

I guess I was 70K off.

I thought the same thing in terms of price before I found out. Particularly with some of the extras like the cage, etc.

Wow that is pretty. You can just by mine for 10% of that price and for another 10% add 5 door tub and mustard paint.

look at a recent Orvis Catalog for Men....

They have a very nice LR 109 Series 3 Dormobile for $65,000 with a travel pedigree restored by Lanny Clark (used to be with RN and a good guy). The website shows $5,000, but that is the deposit.

http://www.orvis.com/store/product.aspx?pf_id=2G7T

Only problem that I can see is that it isn't any Dormobile I've ever seen. Looks like a stock 9 passenger 109.
Guess this isn't the one you'll be getting.
