1961 Series II 88 200Tdi Lt77

1961 late Series II 88 black plate CA car. The car has never been restored and still shows it's original paint, whats left of it, aside from a respray on one quarter panel. Chassis is completely rust free except for some rust in the two drain holes on the rear cross member but it's not bad and could easily be welded up and grinded down for $200. Rebuilt 200Tdi defender engine with the turbo from Land Rover Imports with less than 10,000 miles. Lt77 five speed transmission with stock tranfer case using the ashcroft kit and military bolt in crossmember and custom aluminum tunnel and passenger floor. Tom Woods custom drive shaft and 3.54 diff gear. P38 power steering with a custom hybrid steering column and shaft using the bottom portion of a defender and the top portion of a series to retain the original look. Also attached the original shift lever to the Lt77 to retain a more original look. Steve Parker exhaust from England. Just rebuilt complete brake system with new drums, cylinders, all new lines, new master cylinder and power booster. Parabolic springs and new shocks. New window and door rubbers. Custom roof rack made with removable rear section so that a roof top tent can be unfolded and opened up from the back side. The Rover doesn't have a front drive shaft so that will have to be done by the new owner. Gets over 30 mpg. I'm only selling to get a larger Rover otherwise I'd keep and finish it. It's been my daily driver for a few years before and after the swap. I'm probably forgetting some things but that's good enough for now. $18,950

Great truck. I'm sure it kills you to be letting it go.
