1956 Series 1 For Sale/ I think!

Rare 1956 Series 1, all original, paint appears original, has hardtop not in picture. The truck is in amazing condition for the age, no frame rot, there has been some repair years ago to the bulkhead. Tagged and titled and on the road. New brakes including drums on front just done. Extra parts included. May consider ?? vinatge motorcycle trades/part trade. Just reach out to me for additional information or to come take a look. Price-17,500 Located in Tennessee.

Well the truth is my toy funds are limited and I have to sell one to buy another! It sits in the garage and I drive it around the house. I thought I would put it out there and see if anybody wants it. Not alot of them floating around these days and I would be surprised to find one so original. Anyway that's the story, if it sells my antique motorcycle stable will grow I am sure.

Cheers, jim

I've met Jim and seen this truck in person, it is sweet. I hate to see him sell it and it is in all appearances a very original truck. If I had the money it would be next to my Series II.

Nice truck ! Is that the original rear axle in that truck? Looks to have a floater rear axle setup . I have a 58 and it's a flanged axle type.
Just wondering as I would rather have a floater type axle in mine .
GLWS sorry to hijack your post .

Big price drop!

Ok, it is difficult to arrive at a fair market value for a Series 1 and I thought after taking to several rover guys that I was in the ball park. I guess that's not the case so it's time for a price adjustment. This is a very original Series 1 and I have some extra parts, original carb, wiper motors, new rear brake kit not installed,..... lots of stuff to go with it. I can send more pics and will be happy to talk with you by phone if you would like. 14,500 / OBO

I forgot to add that I will consider trade or part trade on antique firearms (pre 1898), Colts, Winchesters, etc. or antique motorcycle or motorcycles.

Open To Offers

I am picking up another motorcycle and could use the space in the garage. If you have every wanted an 86 inch then feel free to make me a fair offer. I would love to see this truck go to someone from the forum that will enjoy it. Weather permitting I will get some additional pics up this week.
Cheers

Would have looked good with the original steering box/wheel from Paul. Paint looks cool but not original. What types of motorcycles are you looking for?

I am looking for Indians or anything pre-war. I have the original steering box. I was told the paint was original when I purchased the truck but I trust that you know what your talking about. Was there a differnt steering wheel or just the box. The steering box is wrappped in a cardboard box in my shop.

Hard to tell from the picture, but what is going on in the driver side footwell? Specifically under the gas pedal.

GLWS, cool truck.

Didn't think Ike was on here. Good eye on the steering wheel...much later. If he says the paint is not original I would trust in his knowledge. It is a cool truck. GLWS.
