yeah but you're the internet samurai and get everything for 50 cents on the dollar. I always take your deals and double what I will have to pay when I find it.

Another option is to find a nice 110 and convert to a 130, but that has to be a 10k proposition and that would be just to weld and shunt the frame (not a new frame which would add considerably to the cost).

Keep an eye on ebay.co.uk and import one is another option. I forget what it sold for, but Doug had linked one a while back that was importable. Based on my old LR mags, they started making a lot more of them starting in 88 or so depending on your time frame (still relative as to what a lot is).

Ninja not samuari. Point to one where I was off by double.

There are some 10 year old 130s on ebay UK for 6000UKP and for 8000UKP asking, you could have this in a year stateside:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1988-Land-...item589095256b

There is also a 3000UKP galvy chassis 200tdi 1984 D90 and a 6000UKP galvy chassis 1988 300tdi 110 CSW so I stand by my statement that a LHD beater 130 with a Tdi would sell for around $20k.

OK I will bite. Here is the breakdown on the truck you posted up on Ebay.

8K BP = $13,200.00+ shipping etc $3,200.00 = $16,480.00 To start
LHD conversion with Parts $4,500.00 (if you can find the parts now a days) A proper conversion
130 rear tub, (if you can find one) $1,500.00 labor to install and prep $1,000.00
130 Roof or make one $1,500.00
New "B" pillar $700.00
Prep, paint etc $4,500.00
General labor $3,000.00
LHD A/C $950.00

Total price $ 34,130.00

Now this is assuming the doors are great, frame, needs nothing, motor needs nothing, and all the interior trim is great. I am sure that I have left off several things. And all of my numbers are very conservative.

Now tell me again how you can do one for 20K?

Mine's still for sale. $40K delivered.

I have a tire-kicker right now, but he may not pan out.
