I've got a 2 door Saudi Range Rover that is in great shape, but had another that really wasn't, and had a fair amount of corrosion. like everything else, condition depends greatly on the actual area used in and the gentleman / git that used it.

bought it!!!

Well guys I have purchased a Saudi 1987 110. I'm extremely excited. the tear down process is underway. The V8 has been taken out, and swapping it with a 300 tdi. I myself am not very mechanically inclined so i'm not doing this job myself. instead having it done it the UK.
thanks for your thoughts and opinions!
cheers

Congratulations! Welcome to the ex-Saudi 110 club. I think there are two of us now.

What are the specs on the 87 110? Does it have the LT85 gearbox and salisbury rear axle? AC?

Thanks

Thanks Nimbusnic!
I'm not sure about the rear axle. It does have AC and as for the gear box since I am replacing the V8
with Defender 300tdi Engine it has the Defender R380 Manual gearbox and associated LT230 Transfer Gearbox being fitted.

I am completely refurbishing the truck in the UK. it will be done and in my driveway in 8 weeks i'm hoping!

Hey Brenter, congrates on the new 110, sounds like it is going to be a nice truck. I am just down the road in Mississauga so we'll have to hook up some time.

110 5 door Saudi in Calgary

Thought I would chime in - I recently purchased a 1987 Saudi spec 5 door 110 up here in Calgary. Quite good shape - 3.5 V8 swapped out for a 4.2. Needs some work. Chassis is solid but doors are in rough shape - looking to do a resto and diesel swap when I can get to it.

Cheers,

Jason

Absolutely

Brett,
Absolutely. We will have to get together after her arrival! What can you tell me about your rigs?

Jason,
Glad to hear another Saudi has made her way over here. And north of the border to boot! Would love to hear of any progress you get with her. I wish i were as mechanically inclined to do more of the work!

Cheers Guys!

My 110 is an Ex-MOD BATUS truck. I've had it for three year next month. Originally had a 2.5 NA diesel in it but my buddies and I stuffed a 300Tdi into it a year and a half ago and my foot has been in it since.

I've had my Series 3 now for 25 years and have pretty much rebuilt it completely in that time, including a frame over. The plan now if to take the 2.5 NA that came out of the 110 and stuff it into the 88.

Really looking forward to seeing your truck once it arrives. That'll be the fourth 300Tdi 110 I know if in the GTA.

Brett
