Fun idea, but I don't have the bandwidth. Remember, partial trades for a disco or rangie are absolutely on the table, though.

We've tried this idea before, but I think there might be some legal issues. But we all know Tony is a charity case, so we might be able to swing it.

Bad idea to trade something like your 110 for something that depreciates as quickly as a Disco or other mass marketed US vehicle. I always got a kick out of people who wanted to trade a disco for one of my series trucks. The series trucks are still worth about 6-8k years later and those old discos are pennies on the dollar in comparison. If you need the money then hold out for it. You guys can use the the <shudder> LC while you go where you need to in the 110 until it sells, or in some other nondescript POS commuter car that you can find on craisglsit or the like. Sorry but trading a proper shaped Land Rover for a D1/2/RR/LR3 etc = terrible idea. IMO.

To that end, BUMP for a great truck that should be a no-brainer for anyone looking for a good 110 300tdi. You will not be able to do this well importing one yourself unless you happen to get lucky, or fly over and find one in person.

Thanks for that, Dave. Really the only reason I"m willing to take a disco in part trade is that, quite frankly, that's what I'll most likely wind up with for a daily driver anyway. Plus it may make this deal more approachable for more people.

Lets do it. We need someone to hold the money but could use a site like this to pick the winner. You would be assigned a number for each ticket you purchase and the site would choose the number at random. If we didnt sell enough tickets the money gets returned or we wait to send in the money unitl we know we have sold enough. What do you think Tony?

Anyone a tax attorney wanting to do some pro bono work? Honestly I think it would be far too complicated, but it would be fun.

Because, as I said before, it is a legal mine field to do this kind of raffle.

I will never enter LEGALAND and go against a Lawyer's advice.. WAIT who am I kidding , I do it everyday and they want to kill me *LOL*

One way that I know without entering the deep mine field is, if an event is created with an entry fee of let say 100 pesos, then 260 guest purchased the entry fee and at the end of the event a nentry number is picked randomly ( must be bonafide non bias ) and as a thank you gives the truck to that person.

Let say a NOVA Happy hour banquet for example....

NOW if held in another country ( and the website whom tickets are purchased is registered in that country ) where they have no raffle laws or minimal laws ..could be done
