110 200TDI/LT77 for sale $30k

I am not in a hurry but need to sell my 110. It's been a really fun project and it has served me well but time to move on.

* Features:

110 NAS body
Rust free Wax-oiled chassis
LHD
200 TDI/LT77 142k mi
Allard Turbo Upgrade
Dual Tank with custom heated fuel system that can run 100% Biodiesel or WVO/SVO.
2 sets of rims (5 spoke alloys). One mounted with HTs and other with ATs
Puma Hood (which allows for more room for larger turbo)

In Last 4 years:

Rebuilt Injection Pump
New Custom Lift Pump
New Radiator
Rebuilt Steering box
Fully serviced engine with new head gasket
Espar Hydronic 4/5 autonomous heater with separate battery (with isolator)
Rear Disc brake conversion
New Shocks
On demand propane injection system for improved highway fuel economy, extra towing power or hill climbing. Boost pressure activated.

Other pertinent Info:

Disco 1 transfer case (recently resealed) so runs at highway speeds ok/lower RPM – Cruises at 70mph. Goes faster but never drive it faster…
Transmission shifts well, no grinding gears.
Rear lights are not OME Land Rover. They are fabricated boxes with Suzuki Samurai rear lights. They work great and are cheap and easy to service.

Still needs:

Interior work (seats are old and lots of missing trim, missing carpeting).
Paint needs touch up in a few places.

Important Vehicle History:

Build up from 3 donor vehicles: 1. 1983 ROW RHD 110, 2. 1979 Series D, 3. NAS 110 Salvage. NAS 110 body parts/chassis sourced from D-90.com member. Legally registered in Colorado. I paid to have it personally inspected by Colorado State Police after build to ensure clean title. Serviced by John Putnins at Automotive Alchemy in Boulder Colorado and some build work done by Dennis Williams at LinDen Engineering in Golden Colorado. I would encourage potential buyers to discuss with either mechanic for testimony.

I have not driven this on anything more gnarly than forest service roads. It has seen no heavy off-roading since rebuild. Dual tank system (in current set-up) actually does not allow for rock crawling at this point. One tank would have to be modified or moved for rock crawling.

It has been a loyal, reliable companion. Left me stranded on the side of the road only once due to a broken throttle cable.

Dual tank system is set up as follows: 10gallon Diesel Tank associated with native fuel filter, etc. 20gallon heated BIO/WVO tank with heated fuel lines (radiator fluid heat exchanger), viton seals and separate fuel filter. Supply and return switches on dashboard.
Willing to sell without ESPAR (-$500), WVO system (-$500), propane injection (-$500) as I could take these items off and use on a future vehicle.

Including some pics with this post. Please email me for specific pic requests and I will do my best to provide. I do not have the a-bar assembly anymore. (I may be able to retrieve). Internal hardware in place for full 110 cage.

thanks for looking,

Tom

Great truck.

This would be mine tonight, if I didn't own my defender. Great, great 110.

Glws.

1979 Series D. Hence the inspection. It qualifies for Colorado Classic Car plates. Registration only every 5 years.

Nope. 1976 and newer need smog, but if it's titled as a Diesel less problems.

Awesome job, Tom, and what a great deal, too. Those upgrades are perfect and the WVO setup alone must be worth 10K.

Someone should be all over this. Fantastic! GLWS!!!

you know, I didn't even realize the wipers were still RHD. The wiper motor is mounted underneath the left side panel of the dashboard - I recently accessed it to replace the park switch.

I did a quick write up of the propane system in a post last year. It is comprised of a basic BBQ size tank, pressure regulator and gauge (set at 2psi) with hoses that run to the air intake pipe. It has a main on/off switch but even when switched "on" a separate pressure switch (connected to the boost pressure gauge hose) only allows propane to enter air system when boost pressures are over 5psi (mine actually turns on about 8-9 psi). At 2psi, you feel a very slight "kick" in performance when it activates. Because of this little kick, I actually do not turn it on while driving about town. It turns on/off too often. I use it while driving highways here in Colorado and it seems to help hold speeds up steep climbs better.

I was told by the manufacturer of the system can run up to 4-5 psi with a 4 cylinder diesel. I am running it very conservatively.
