101 forward control ambulance..

I am reluctantly selling my 1976 101FC...simply not going to get around to converting it to a camper and decided it would be a waste of such a nice original example...plus I am building my camel 110 and heading off around the world...so ole 101 has to go..Okay..Here are some more pics for your viewing pleasure...

converted to a holley 500 if I recall...improves starting idle and overall drivig immensely...I have all of the original stuff..

Showing in the pics is the original escape hatch and the original interior...the stretchers on both sides crank up about 3 feet and locks in and then another stretcher fits underneath... the original cabinets are there and all function just fine...under the right side stretcher is still the racks for the oxygen tanks...would make a great spot for your onboard air tanks etc...haven't had her running in a couple of months...charged up the battery and she fired right up... I have more pics if anyone is interested..
$10,000 and the vehicle is in Ft lauderdale... runs and drives great..

I will say that she hasn't even been washed in 4 years... I just took the stuff out of it that had mysteriously found it's way into the back for storage and proceeded to take pics.. i don't expect her to shine up to a high gloss as she is just the original drab olive matt paint slapped on my the armed forces.. Their painting make MAACO look look like Chuck Foose...

I was told by the previous owner that this vehicle was used for testing by Land Rover special vehicles division...The truck also comes with an on-board compressor which has a reservoir plumbed to it and was constantly filled, when the vehicle would detect that the wheels had no weight on them i.e. the wheels were hanging down the compressor would engage and allow the reservoir to empty into the cabin causing the whole cabin to be pressurised with compressed air, thereby giving a positive charge inside the vehicle and allowing it to completely float, I was told this truck actually drove across the english channel an had the special vehicle name of FFC101...Floating Forward Control....nah, just joshin...... can't recall what it is..I will take a look at it and let you know...LOL...
