plenty of defenders for sale in Canada. Save yourself the grief and be able to inspect what it is your buying.

They are really expensive. But I haven't costed out importing a wreck yet.....half the fun is rebuilding them.

You can find a very affordable 90 in the area if you look and wait. The 110's command a fair bit more. From what I have seen you would have a hard time importing one for what you can buy one here for.

Is there a particular web site to find cheap ones? Autotrader prices are crazy!
I think i can pick up a couple of defenders for about $15,000 (for both) and import them for around $5,000.
But right now thats just an estimate from what i have been able to find.
(I would also be able to go over there to check them out or ask my brother to do it for me)

Just watch kijiji I've seen some decent looking ones for under 10k. Or join one of the local clubs and start sniffing, lots of deals to be had if you do your due diligence.
Importing one could cost up to 5k each depending how you do it, cleaning, inspection, de stuffing fees, port charges, etc etc many of these things are kind of out of your control so prepare for the worst.
Not saying importing isn't an option, I did it, it's just that if the budget is tight it might make sense to look around here a bit more first.
Also I'm not sure you can register a RHD in QC anymore so you would likely have to look to Europe for a LHD.
