New to me IIA

Hello all, I just bought drove home and started tearing apart a '71 series iia. While everything worked I don't know if i would say it worked well. The bakes are the only thing that are close to being 100%. The steering is loose, the floor pans and mud guards are rotted through, I have a bullet hole in the window, I do live in Alaska, probably some bored a-hole. So, finding this truck not for sale and in need of some TLC I knocked on the door of the owner and after about three weeks of me pestering him it's in my garage taken mostly apart with new windscreens, mud guards, floor pans, just about every seal and gasket rover makes, and gallons of fluids, the heads out and new valves rings and seals are going in. Looking for a parabolic suspension and new doors, If I can't find doors I bought the reinforcements to rebuild the rotted ones. And my pipe dream is to efi, tuffy center console and fill the back with salmon.

Very cool! You've gotten a lot done already...I'm still working on the drivers side floor pan, working on it with my daughters, one rusty stripped head screw at a time

Best wishes on your rebuild.
