New Member from Tucson

Hello All-

I am new to the forum, and look forward to contributing to the community.

I have been using Series Rovers for a couple of decades as everyday trucks. My first was a 1972 Series III 88 that I bought back in 1994 or so. I drove it as my daily driver for years in Portland and Tucson (including the trip between the two), and sold it years later for no good reason.

Learning my lesson, I purchased a 1969 Series IIA 88 Bugeye in 2005, and drove it regularly until just recently. A good friend with a few other Series Rovers had his eye on it, and I just sold it to him to help fund a 1985 Ninety 2.5NA that I purchased from Ron Peppard. Ron was great, and the D90 is now the daily driver.

I truly value all of the information and cooperation I see on the forum, and look forward to participating--

Chris in Tucson

Thanks for the warm welcome. Here are some quick photos of the Series IIA and the my new D90.

Come on out to Tucson anytime-- There seem to be very few Series and Defender trucks out here . . .

Maybe I spoke too soon! I appreciate the invitation Frank, and will try to stop by if I can get out of work early. I will be roasting at my café this afternoon, and the workload varies.

How often do you guys meet? I'd be happy to treat you to some coffee if you ever want to roll the Series and Defenders downtown--

Chris

We missed you at the Western National Land Rover Rally in Sedona this past 8-11 October.

Check out the Arizona Land Rover Owners club, there are some members in Tucson.

Sorry to disappoint you but sometimes the truth hurts and the only thing the club has done is spend 2 years working on a weekend rally. Maybe a trail run or 2, but nothing to get excited about.

Ignore this guy Chris, we have a weekly beer night free from any type of club politics, we do runs with anyone and everything and have a good time doing it

Excellent. I will definitely join some beer nights / wrench sessions, and really appreciate the invitation.

My café/roaster is called EXO Roast Co., and we are on N. 6th Avenue right across the street from Miller's Surplus.

I will swing by for a bit tonight if I can.

Thanks again,
Chris
