New Ex MoD Defender 110 Owner

Hello all,

I just purchased my first 110 yesterday! She's a 2.5NA Ex MoD Tithonus 110, with about 65,000 miles on her.
We drove it home for the seller yesterday and covered 250 miles of highway 27 in 7 hours or so. Of course with a 30 year old truck it has leaks and such. I'll be cleaning it up and getting to know her over the next few days.
If anyone has suggestions on areas or maintenance issues that I should look at first I'd love to hear about your experience.

Chris for East Tennessee

Chris, for maintenance issues, you'll want to check everything between the front bumper and the rear license plate.

Congratulations on the Rover!

LOL, I've got a feeling thats just what I'm going do. I've been looking at the workshop manuals and I'm just going to start at task #1 and work my way from one end to the other.

It was the LHD that sold me on it.
I saw my first 110 in Central America back in the late 90's, then in the West Indies, Australia, the Middle East, India, North, East and Central Africa! They’re in every corner of thr earth except here, so when I saw this one I wasn't going to pass it up.

Nice! Welcome to the addiction. Start by making sure all fluids are good. Yours is a Tith so it should be pretty good.

I like how the Rover got the garage and may have kicked someone else out.

Welcome!

The great thing about the 2.5 na diesel is that there is only a very slim chance of you ever getting a speeding ticket.

Have owned one and driven many.
