New 1988 110 owner

Have already found great info on this site. Thanks to everyone for all of their contributions. So, I bought a 1988 defender 110 RHD, 2.5. Bought it from a forum member (before I knew about this forum) and he had started an OM617 MB turbo diesel conversion. I bought it before it was completed as the owner was trying to finish the work but needed to move it due to a growing family. To my dismay, this d110 has a power steering box that only a few percent of defenders have hence the conversion kit is irrelevant on this particular truck without changing the steering box (engine fan and alternator hit the box). So, I'm pushing all my chips in. LHD conversion being professionally done. Full resto-mod of the interior (will be looking for dynamat, carpet, stereo and seating recommendations) as well as a new paint job and some off-roading accessories. Here's my starter pic from getting it to TX. Will keep everyone posted on progress of the restoration.

Congrats! Looks good from here. Being upside down doesn't really make it a LHD conversion....

I think the photo was possibly taken while on holiday in Australia

Geo-gravitational issues resolved. Sound like it's going to be a sweet truck. Those OM TD's can be tuned out to unreal levels.

Thanks for flipping my pic. Every image I try and load from my phone is seemingly flipping.

Downloading an inverted image back to a phone, editing it and then reuploading clears the image orientation problem.

Welcome. Good looking 110 - I can't tell if it is patina or the paint color, but like the look.
