Insurance Help- 1983 defender 110

Hello All,
I'm still driving my '01 Disco but the the '83 Defender should be on the boat shortly from Amsterdam. I'm looking for any suggestions for insurance for Northern California.
I will be looking to buy insurance for a frame off '83 defender 110 full restoration, LS3 - manual, with a roll cage. Any suggestions from the Defender Source Community would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks for all who helped keep my Disco running with helpful suggestions.

thanks much Phoenix37, will follow up with them. I have a garage, and I will notify the kids the playroom/clubhouse needs to be evacuated.

I'm sure they will be thrilled that dads new toy is going to displace all of theirs!

Hello John, Although I personally have no experience with Hagerty under their Collector car program, I would recommend https://www.classicins.com/. They seem to have a much better premium structure and coverage for the US and Canada. I have written Clients into this Carrier and they have been very satisfied. As I am an Insurance Agent, writing in NY, NC and NH (currently) if you would like me to take a look at your proposal, I can certainly give my opinion of it.
Thank you, Darrell Stewart

Is Hagerty stated value or agreed value.

I happen to be looking into my insurance as we speak.

Classic Car Insurance looks an awful lot like Geico whom i have not had the greatest experience with. Any affiliation?

Thanks

Hello All,
I can state without reservation that the https://www.classicins.com/ is "not" GEICO or anything similar. The company that underwrites their policies is American Modern Insurance. All of their policies are written and "Agreed Value" and not "Stated Value".
Please let me know if you have questions about their coverages to protect our "very special" Rovers...

Thanks again,
Darrell Stewart
