Hi Everyone

Hi All

This is actually my second intro post. My first also asked for leads to a Defender 90. Well I actually bought one last week from a forum member. She may not be the fastest, she may not be the quietest, she may not be the most economical but every time I see her or drive her I can't stop myself smiling

We moved the USA 5 years ago from Sheffield, England. I have always wanted a Defender and for my 50th birthday I now have one. My youngest son who is 13 years old has already said he wants her for his own and has been my constant helper whilst I have been doing some little jobs (such as installing the Bloody Knuckles Brotherhood badge. Whilst helping me in the Landy he found a crew driver under one of the seats. On the side of the screw driver was the inscription Steadfast Sheffield England. It seemed a sign that this was meant to be!

This is Bess on Assateague where we spent a few days for spring break.

Congrats! They look good in red don't they. Give us some details on the specifics, like year engine etc.

They do! However being a Sheffield Wednesday supporter I would have preferred Blue & White. She is 1989 a 3.5 V8 with just 73,000 miles. The sound of that V8 is just glorious!!

I need to get her sound proofed and also needs a new headliner after I have redone all the roof joints and made sure she is water tight!. She is RHD and newly imported so I have already changed the headlights. Passenger side step was loose so I have corrected that. She was also leaking gas from the carb intake which I have temporarily fixed but need a replacement part when I can find out what the bloody thing is called!

Post a pick of the offending part, maybe we can help! Can't remember if I mentioned to you about the ROVERSCLUB Spring Trials coming up on the 24th-25th. It's near Reading, Pa, in the town of Robesonia. Maybe an hour from Cochranville? Great social event, fierce competition, huge prize money, good pizza. I'm planning on bringing my 11 year old, the puppy and a Rover. Trying to get my Rangie back together, may just drive the 110...

Hi Trevor yes you kindly let me know about the Spring Trial. I've never done any offroading but may well come up just for the social scene!! May well bring my youngest boy and my black lab.

Welcome and congratulations! I'm near KOP, not too far from you. Would be great to get a few Philadelphia area people together soon. I actually have a friend who owns a farm in Cochransville. Maybe it's a small enough world that you know them too. Rambling Roots Farm. Anyway - congrats again and good luck!

Dustin Rambling Roots Farm is about 2 minutes from where I live. Although I don't know them I once did ask them permission to keep my bees on their farm but they were already bees so it was a no go.

Yep it would be great to get a few of the PA people together!

Cheers Mark

Cool. I talked to them and they might be interested in having you come back. If you're interested, PM me your contact info to give them.
