Hey from VT

Hey there.
Finally registered... Thanks for all the info everyone has already shared, and thanks in advance for all your advice/opinions in the future. I'm just outside of Burlington, VT with my '94 NAS D-90. I've had it since I bought it in SoCal in '09. Drove it to Fairbanks, AK where it was my daily driver at all temps....takes a while for the heat to kick out at -62F. Drove it out here to VT where it sees the class 4 roads all spring, summer, and fall... And hides from the salt in winter.

Cheers
Ryan

Hello there neighbor. I am in Shelburne VT. We will have to get together for some wheeling.
There is a group of ROver people maybe wheeling on Nov 28 in Manchester area.

Pretty ridiculously clean truck if I do say so myself. I remember seeing it as we started VOT two tears ago. Glad to see you on the board!

Like Dan said, we're having a small trip on the 28th if you can make it.

Ryan, glad to see you finally got on the board! Welcome..

We were at the Newfane cafe a few weeks ago and were wondering if you were still around.

Raub, you know his truck from VOT 2014

Thanks for the pics Kraig,
That's her!
I'd love to go with you guys on the 28th. But for one, I was deployed all summer, so my D90 was in Wisconsin at my folks house. It's going to stay there for the salt season and I'll pick it up in the spring. Figured since I wasn't driving it, now was the perfect time to plop a bumper/ winch combo on there (RTE bumper + Warn 8274), TT/DL combo, with GBR 4.43 R/P, HD 24 spline half shafts and DC driveshaft upgrade.

I'd throw a small lift in there for good measure, but my darn garage door opening is only 83" tall and she tips out at 80" right now... So I'll have to wait till she gets back to figure if I can stuff her in there.

If my schedule has me home on the 28th, I'd love to tag along in one of your rigs if one of you will have me. I can spot and run winch rope with the best of them

Yeah, I realize that. Luckily I'm never in much of a hurry.... I cruise around 60 mph to/from the trails on the TSL Bias Plys. That's one of the reasons I was looking to lift was to put some 34" tires to regain some RPM on the highway and increase approach angle with the 8274.

Eventually, I may regear the transfer case if it really bugs me, but no rush.

Thanks for the heads up though.

Not photos yet. The bumper is still being built. The shop should get the drivetrain/diffs next week and the bumper in about two weeks. I hope to make my way out there to visit the truck/my folks next month and I'll take some pics then.

Looks great Ryan.
Do you have the super swappers in storage?
Those tires look like a much better option for.around town.

Guessing by the snow in the background, that picture was either taken today or in mid-November. 'Cause we haven't had any so far this winter besides those two days! Kinda depressing...

Thanks!! The Swampers are on a rack in my garage. I put these on for the drive out to Wisconsin, where she is now... I'm not super good at swapping them out very regularly... Usually I just leave the Swampers on almost all the time, so I can quickly hop to a trail if i get the chance... thinking about going up a size maybe this year... but have to figure out if the combination of a 2" lift and 33.6" tires will fit in my garage... it probably won't.

Today! I've been waiting for her to get out of the shop. Unfortunately though, the pics were taken in Wisconsin where she is stuck till the salt washes off the roads in spring. My folks were kind enough to lend me spare hangar space till I can pick her up.

Can't wait to stretch her legs!
