Hey From South Carolina

Hey guys,
Every since I was a boy, I've wanted a Defender and now I believe is the time to pull the trigger on one.
I've mostly owned sports cars my whole life and a few SUVS along side them.
(911 Turbos, M3's, etc).

Ive been reading all sorts of threads on here trying to gain as much knowledge as possible about them.

Anywhere I can find a glossary of any sorts? Not sure what all the abbreviations mean yet.
NAS, SW, etc. The only one I've recognize was ROW (rest of the world).

Lastly, who daily drives theirs?
This could replace my Porsche Cayenne if I like it until I buy a new 911 Turbo.

Thanks
Drew

Drew:
I have used a series or Defender Style Land Rover for a daily driver since 1991 with the exception of short times using a RR Classic or Discovery I.
Before that drove an MG daily, MGA, TD, ZB Varitone, BGT, and B.

I have just started on my own Defender journey. I also have wanted one for a long time and finally pulled the trigger last week! I love it. Its not the fastest, the quietest or most economical but it makes me smile every time I see her and drive her! In fact I think the all of the family love her, can't wait to get her on the beach this year surf fishing!!

Cheers Mark

Depending on the engine and amount of sound proofing, it will be vastly more uncomfortable than the Cayenne for a longer trip.
I drive mine daily--but shorter, in town trips when I'm not in a hurry--kind of daily. I'll surely switch cars if I expect to be stuck in traffic, have a longer than 45 minutes one way trip, or have a headache that day, haha

Mine is loud, damp when it rains, hot in the summer, cold in the winter and leaks fluid from just about every place fluid can leak. I love it, wouldn't trade it for anything else.
