Hello from UAE!

Hello,

In love with the defender, planning on restoring a 96 came to see what people have done with them and take suggestion and some guidance.

My 110 came from UAE. According to the records that came with it, it had a lot of fun while it lived there. That's a pretty good looking pick-up.

What do you need to do?
What do you want to do?
What could you leave as it, but would want to do?

I have a few ideas in mind, planning on stripping the hole thing down and start from the chassis also planning on changing the engine to the 300. and with other few ideas here and there. i'm planning to keep what still works properly, will know when I actually get it.

If it's running when you get it, I think you should just replace the fluids and drive it for a few months.
That way you'll learn where its weaknesses are when things break or just fail to work.
You'll also learn as you use it where you want to improve it.

It seems like a good crew on there with a good mix of vehicles, also great for figuring out where the Dubai and Abu Dhabi salvage yards/good mechanics are too. I'm down in AD for a few more months, hit me on pm here or on Facebook if I can help with anything.

I'm still not sure about the condition of the car since i didn't have the time yet. that is quite a nice idea will try to get it running if minor things are required also it will be nice to see how it is before and after restoration .
