Smile hello from Canada

Hi,
A warm welcome to everyone from a sunny and hot (32C) Canada. I'm the happy owner of both a Series 3, 88" (1974) and a project 1961 Series 2 88" that I'm presently taking back to the chassis for a frame up rebuild. I purchased this from Scot who was heading home and he'd ripped out all the wiring, seats, rusty doors and dual fuel tanks.... Leaving me what was left of the rolling chassis and several boxes of new parts to which I have been spending lots to augment (essential and some upgrades like an Exmoor new canvas top and a new rear tailboard). I hope to post pictures and likely start a thread as the rebuild progresses, especially now the weather is nice enough to be working outside. I'm sure I will have lots of questions for forum members, and anyone driving across Canada on highway #1 please drop in as you will likely only be 1 km from my home in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Best wishes, Ian

Hey welcome to the source, I love reading it and seeing what the boys are building.
I'm on the best coast (east) in Halifax and watch the docks for cool trucks coming and going.
The pound is strong now so getting parts from the UK is $$$$.
I get most of what I need now from Rovers North good group of guys.
Well welcome and chat soon.
I do love the sighting pages, I've been seen twice in the New England states.

Welcome and enjoy the "ebb and flow" of building Land Rovers.
After all, it's all part of the fun.

Hi everyone and thanks very much for your warm welcome. I look forward to meeting some of you, especially if you are passing by on your way across the prairies!

Here's a photo of the Series 2 (1961) project I bought last winter from Kaslo BC (not my garage I'm sorry to say!). I got the engine running last week, though the fuel pump isn't working. Now the plan is to take it back down to that galvanised chassis and rebuild/restore/weld and paint as and where necessary. Wish me luck!
