Lock

Hello, thanks for replying ,it seems to be the internals of lock, not had a deeper look yet, work nights, the door still shuts, and it's proper shut, but when inserting key, chrome key insert facia(!?!) just spins ,and there's no resistance at all,had a little spy inside, and can see a spring, don't know if it's snapped/come loose, will be taking(or try) to take off lock tomorrow morn, are they a common refit problem, part ??also think I saw you had a series 3'do still have a 750 wheel, tyre for my old series, and I think fan cowel,if there any use to you, your more than welcome to them in the future, thanks again for the reply and (if you don't mind me asking) is there anything defender 300 tdi engine wise or otherwise I ought to be keeping a eye on please ,done 86000 in 20 year, done timing belt, altinartor, fan belt, and tensioner, thanks again, and have a top day chief
