From China, with 110.

Hi there!

Luckily, I have my new 110, which maybe one of the last batches of defender from Solihull, England.

I used to be a jeep wrangler fan during these years, but when I heard that the Defender would cease production in the end of this year, I went crazy. So I searched for a new defender in the market from this April but it's not a easy job, Defender is so hard to find in Chinese market.

Almost 4 month later, the dealer found one in Germany with ex-factory date of Jan/01/2015, I signed the contract, and they shipped it to Tianjin harbour. It arrived at Aug the 12, within 2 days the chemical blast inccident happend.

The Ground 0 of explosion is just 1.8km away from the warehouse where my defender was parked. When I saw the horrible images on TV, my heart broke.

The next day, the dealer try to enter the damaged warehouse, and found my 110 luckily survived! I fly to Tianjin immediately although its still danger, I saw the windows and the wall of the warehouse was almost destroyed. Cars parked outside was seriously damaged. The whole area is just like war zone.

Fortunately, my 110 parked inside, and right in the middle of the warehouse, surrounded by lots of damaged range rover, and its totally untouched! Just some thick dust and some flying glass scratches during the blast. But i don't care, I'm so lucky to have it!

I drove it all the way home to Shenzhen 2300km away from Tianjin that day.

Hey my 110, Thank you for coming to my life!

Beautiful truck and a decent story to go along with it. Glad it survived unscathed, that explosion was absolutely insane!

What a memorable way to arrive. That was a horrible thing to see.

The fan shroud on the Tdci looks similar to the same piece on the 200tdi/19J. Big and long!

Wow! I can't even fathom the idea of owning a NEW Defender, let alone one from the last production year. I'll have to encourage my cousin in Taiwan to buy one...
