Brand new owner , now what do I do?

Ok so I just bought this vehicle. http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...and-60262.html

Can wait to drive it and have some fun.

Just wondering what tips, tricks, and other things I should be looking at or addressing as soon as it arrives?

Now the fun begins, first you spend all of your spare money on new parts, you spend all of your spare time in the garage trying to find out where the oil leaks are coming from, you will start lusting after a 200, 300 tdi, you will also have the biggest smile on your face as you drive down the street, remember these four words (it's not a jeep) because people will say nice jeep, enjoy the ride,

I already ordered a set of sliders for it. I was going to build them myself but figured I'd be too busy playing with it to start welding. I am sure ill find some things that need attention and the guy I already bought it from mentioned the turbo diesel to me already.

Change all the fluids (yes, differentials too), lube, and new filters (especially air).

Safety first, brakes and steering.
It goes without saying, check the breaks and R/R as needed. Steering, check for lose bolts and worn parts, it sounds like you can work on it yourself, if you are thinking about building your own sliders . That's a big plus with defenders, you will find this forum to be a big help,

Enjoy
