Vehicle Name Spendy McGee
Year 1987
Make Land Rover
Model 90
Color White / Black
1987 Land Rover 90
1987 Land Rover 90
History Vehicle was originally sent to Italy, registered August 1987. In 2001, vehicle was driven to Spain and it spent the majority of its life in the Barcelona area. I imported the truck in May 2015 from that owner. The vehicle had a 2.5TD installed (original) which quickly bit the dust so I swapped to a 200TDI and I spent 2015-2016 refurbishing the vehicle to the current spec. I really wanted a Left Hand Drive and was glad to find this vehicle. Other than the engine, it was really in nice condition. Currently it only has 67K miles on it. If I had to do this again though I would not import a vehicle, too many hidden fees and costs that I didn't plan for. I would just find a nice vehicle in the states.
Exterior
Unknown rocker guards, we believe were installed in Italy. Roof painted black. KBX Grill. Snorkel. LED Turn Signals / Brake Lights

Interior
Full Exmoor seat package (front) and rear Exmoor forward facing folding jump seats and new carpets. New rear 3 point seat belts. Exmoor Steering wheel, metal shift knobs.

Left Hand Drive

Wheel and Tire
Yokohama Geolander All Terrain 265/75R16

Sawtooth Alloys

Under the Hood
Defender 200TDI engine. New radiator, new clutch, new oil cooler lines, tons of of other new parts under the hood. Cone air filter.

Suspension

Dock storage fees, handling fees, import fees, customs fees, registration fees, etc. I paid an import "consultant" $200 that was recommended to me by the seller. All he did was set me up with someone at K-Line (the shipping company). He said all said and done $2500 max. By the time I was done it was close to 5K to get the truck from Barcelona to my house in Austin.

Mine will be coming over from UK in a month and I'm expecting about the same cost.

Pre and post port transportation eating up a healthy portion of that budget?

$700 of mine was transportation from the prior owner to shipping port. I am picking my truck up at the port state side.
