Thanks Raub! first day out with the family since doing the engine conversion.. Wife loved how much quieter and more comfortable it was than the 109.. Personally i like the fact I can pass cars while barely having my foot on the pedal.

custom harness and ECM? did you turn off any of the factory VVT or cylinder deactivation?

Had my harness and ecm handled by this guy
LS Engine

and yes switched off the active fuel management and replaced the lifters with non AFM ones.

which transmission did you choose? I can't wait to get this project started. I have a new chassis inbound this month. Still debating my bulkhead. I've been accruing parts (doors, mantec tire carrier, NAS bumper, seats, defender hatch with defrost and wiper, tuffy, DN door cards, headliner......) for 2 years. Had to move everything last month and was a pain. Reminds me of the old saying.... "when I die, I hope my wife does NOT sell my rover for what I told her I spent on it!"
