Doug:

I contacted Ashcroft, but the gal had never heard of a 'kit' so I will have to order the parts in one order. No VAT (thanks to those of you who confirmed) but shipping will be 125 pounds.

I'll likely order a console soon. Doug Shipman is working on her right now though. Auto trans, 4.2, AC, New chassis & New bulkhead are all in the future, just not sure in what order!

Ka-ching!

Thanks,

Paul.

Interesting. I can source a ZF transmission & torque converter here (no point paying shipping for one from the UK) so I wonder if they would sell me a kit sans tranny & torque converter?

You should talk to Ashcroft. That was a quote they sent someone else, who then emailed it to me. I don't see any reason why you couldn't get what you want separately. i suggested to the person I was talking with to just get a used transmission to cut down on the cost of the conversion since ZF makes a pretty reliable transmission.

I have fitted the ashcroft console to trucks with 4cyllt77 floors/tunnel (yes the auto fits in trucks with this config)as well as lt95 tunnels. Ashcrofts isn't fiberglass anymore its injection molded plastic.

It looks more like the Ashcroft unit than factory. Clue is no cup holders.

The drink holders in the OEM are overrated. I would just as soon omit them for useful facia space. They are too small for anything but paper coffee cups.

Good to know. I miss having cup holders, but the iPhone holder is pretty handy!
