What is the best source of OEM-style auto consoles? I see they're on the Ashcroft website but when I clicked on 'add to cart', nothing happened. Any other sources? Seems like used NAS units go for millions of dollars!

Ashcroft is the only supplier I am aware of. Even theirs are expensive.

Thanks Ron!

So is this the best option? (Link now works, apparently)

http://www.ashcroft-transmissions.co...e-console.html

I really don't think $600 is bad compared to what I see used OEM ones go for, but the $130 of VAT really bites!

How come nobody here makes/sells them?

Paul.

NAS 110 Lokar Shifter

Here is what we used on my conversion, a Lokar shifter. Fits in the original boot.

Exported direct here should be VAT free.

Yup Paul. That is it. Dave at Ashcroft will get you sorted out. The conversion is not terrible from what I understand but I have never done it.

Ashcrofts console is very nice. Shipping was very fast and packaging was great. Perfect 10 when dealing with them.

Thanks guys! How much was shipping? It just says 25 quid on their site. Not sure if that is 'to anywhere' or UK only.

Suugestion- buy the whole kit that Dave offers, The bracket that holds the shfter, the clutch pedal blanking plate, the bracket for the back of the console (not sure if that is needed for a 90) etc. As said above if you buy it all you will be set. On the trans cooler, the factory 97 cooler and lines are still available through RN.

The only tricky part is the trim ring that goes around the shifter bezel. I found mine from a guy on d90 source parting out his disco.

Just like Doug says, buy all that you can from ashcrofts. I picked up lines and a cooler from Atlantic British and they weren't too bad on price.

Keep looking and you never know what you can find for a very reasonable price. Here's my NAS Auto Console installed.

One thing I just thought of is that consol might not fit with the ROW center bulkhead. Anyone know for sure? I also don't know it you have the bigger fiberglass tunnel cover either.

From the site:

The console was also only intended by LandRover to fit in vehicles without a bulkhead. It can still be fitted to one with the bulkhead but you will need to trim a section from the rear to clear like so :
