zf auto and 1.667 transfer case
I am running 33 inch tires with a zf auto and a 1.667 transfer case. When on the Highway I am running approx 62.5 mph at 3000 rpms.
Is anyone running 35's or 37's with this setup? I am tryingto get an idea of what to expect (speed vs. RPM's) when upgrading tire sizes. Ive tried entering in all the gear ratio's on couple different sites to calculate this info and dont feel it is entirely accurate.
I am going to buy some tires for my 90 and want to be in the in the 2600 - 2800 rpm range at 72 mph seeing that I drive this truck to and from the trails.
Here's the numbers Im putting into the calculator.
Zf has 4 forward gears. 1st gear = 2.73:1, 2nd = 1.56:1, 3rd = 1:1, 4th = 0.73:1. Im running 1.667:1 (high range) transfer case and 3.54 gears in the rear ends.
Are the Zf numbers correct?
