Yet another spring question...

First the current truck specs - D90 SW w/Tdi engine and stock springs/Bilstein shocks - 235/85R16 tires, ARB bumper with Warn 9000 winch. 60K miles on current springs.

I've acquired a partially used set of BFG 255/85R16 M/T's which I plan to put on a stock set of Freestyle alloys.

I think the ARB/Winch combo has sagged the front springs just a bit - need to get the nose back up a little.

I don't like to raise a vehicle more than 1-1/2" over stock. I prefer to keep them just high enough to clear the tires I'm running - more along the lines of a 1" lift.

Most of the OME springs get the truck higher than I need (my vertically challenged wife already complains about the climb) so I've been looking at the set of HD Rover springs from RN. Will these work well with the ARB/winch - 255/85 combo and the TDi engine to give me the clearance I need without taking the truck too high in the air?

I've had real good luck with the RT custom wound 1-1/4" lift springs they did for my RRC a few years ago but the RN website seems to suggest the HD springs would be the best bet. I use the Rover for daily transportation with the occasional heavily loaded camping trip or offroad excursion. I would like it to ride reasonably well - to minimize the squawks from the passenger seat. What do you guys think?

Remember that the Tdi is a heavier then the a V-8.. It sags the front quite a bit. I installed rym 3" springs up front and it saged about 1" I had to put a spacer just to raise the truck a bit. Ok so why am I saying this??? Well if you go with a RYM 2" spring RR-4 I believe with the Tdi and winch, you would be in good shape.

on mine I used the HD springs from a defender 130 with the winch thats stopped the front sagging
