The only way to get them in the US is to buy stuff that was made for an ATV (Piaa Motorsports) which you will still get Piaa quality but only in a low beam..

We should show our Canadian D-90 Source guy some love and buy from him. I am interested...

Sorry to go offtopic, John how many door panels you got left? lol I still have mine on, love em. I'm thinking my 97 will need these someday. Would be nice to have 2 sets for the future, as I plan on keeping my D90s til.....the end. Anyway, the kit I bought was $90 complete with lenses, ballasts, wiring etc. I'm sure the hella one is much nicer, especially since you get a highbeam.

Great idea! PIAA Powersports units are a different manufacturer than the original ones listed on PIAA Canada. Stay tuned for our new units coming out for hi/lo applications.

Piaa USA specifically told me to call you.... Yes the ATV app will work we know that PIAA Canada has the real deal. I look forward to see what PIAA is going to offer for aftermarket lighting solutions for the H4 Lens.

It's still illegal to fit HID bulbs in to light assemblies designed for Halogen.

There was a ruling in 2005 that some are claiming means it's legal now. Wishful thinking.
Careful reading of it makes it clear that you can install complete HID lamp assemblies in place of complete Halogen lamp assemblies if the HID assemblies are DOT approved and could have been installed as OEM. Prior to the 2005 ruling even that wasn't legal.

But I also have a request in to the NHTSA for a more plain language interpretation of the 2005 ruling since so many people are misreading it. I've received and initial reply, and as soon as I get an official statement I'll post it.

While there aren't many of them... What about looking for a G500/AMG55 in a scrapyard? they have 7" OEM HIDs

or something like this -> Truck-Lite 7" LED headlamps I know they aren't cheap ($275/each) but they'd also likely alleviate the issue with load on the wiring harness

Havent put them in yet, just barely finished my audio set up. They are just sitting on the couch at home with all the small bits laying over the floor. I'm already bored with them and I haven't even put them on yet. Mabye after I put the heater core back in.
