maybe some of you D-90 guys can help - I bought a wrap a round style diff. guard ( 3 piece that bolts to the top 2 bolts on th back side of the diff & then to the bottom where the steering stabalizer bolts up ).
I own a 83 RRc.... not sure how different the axles are from later model Land Rovers, because the spacer plate that goes over the top of the diff does not line up with that single pre-drilled hole on the main diff gaurd.
Even after pre-tightening with the very limited threads left on the diff bolts with or without the spacers, that single hole still does not line up and the plate does not feel secure.
Regardless, I have cut spacer plate that bolts to the top of the diff (its flat now ) so I can slide the plate up agood inch that it was off, I am now going to weld it to the top of th axle casing then I could bolt it ( th single bolt ) to the main diff guard, this way i don't have to fool with the diff housing bolts.
Has anybody else had the same prblem or is my axle that different in dimensions then others.
