Wolf (WMIK) Grill / AC Grill Surround Question

Apologies if this has been posted before, but have searched and searched.

Would like very much to use a Wolf (WMIK) grill, but not sure if it will fit to an A/C grill surround/"bump."

Have not yet found a Wolf grille, but confirming this one way or another will help with the search.

The alternative is a Heritage Grille, but really like the WMIK one.

Any other ideas are appreciated.

Thanks !

I am wondering if the wolf grille will work with the stock A/c setup. Did you ever figure this out?

Hi Trenton, sorry for the cryptic response

There is a "tab" at the bottom of the grill that does not allow it to fit flush with the A/C grill.

Will see if I can figure out how to post a photo...

Thanks for your reply

Oh ok, I see what you meant. I have a 97 NAS D90 with the factory A/C, and my grill frame is straight at the bottom. So I think that the overhang on yours will not affect me, I had just heard that the A/C fan can make it a little tight with the wolf grill but only saw one report of that.

What did you end up doing with the grille since it didn't fit? haha

This is what my front looks like:

Hi Trenton,
You are most welcome.

Thanks for posting what yours looks like. Yes, it does seem like it would work better than with mine (later version). As for the A/C fan, I do not know, but from what Jeff posted above, it does seem a concern.

LOL ! That was a good question

Very unfortunately, I no longer have that grill

We ended up using a Heritage (style) grill (Nakatanenga).

If you are looking for a WMIK, I saw one posted in the parts area long before and Atl Cruisers might have one, also.

I wish you very good luck with fitting it as it is my absolute favorite grill
