Wiring Issue

Guys,

I had a Matador worklight installed where the 3rd brake light is supposed to sit. It had been wired to the reverse light.

Yesterday, took it off and installed a hella brake light (wired now obviously to the brakes).

Some strange things started happening afterwards

My dome light no longer works. It used to turn on when the doors were opened and when you flipped the switch to "on". Now, the 'on' switch doesn't work and nothing happens when the door is opened. To make it a little more strange, if I flip the switch that powers my compressor for my ARB lockers, the light turns on very dimly. Same is true if I hit the headlight/turn signal switch and pull it towards me (opposite of high beams).

So not only is my dome light just acting weird, but my compressor won't turn on now (it just dimly lights the dome light, but nothing else).

getting in and out of the truck last night was interest as it was so Fing dark!

Any thoughts, comments of otherwise?

I'm assuming something happened when rewiring the 3rd brake light, but i have no idea where to begin on this one.

How did you connect it? From which side did of the vehicle did you connect it? Does the 3rd brake light work? The brake lights and indicators share quite a few bedfellows throughout the truck.

If one thing turns on another, it is ground issue. One item is powering the other through a shared ground.
