Wiring Harness too long...splice or bundle?

I finally installed the lights on my truck (4 Hella 4000s on the roll cage and 2 500s on the bumper.) and there is a bit of slack in places on the wiring harness. These are places where I can not just "trim the end".

Thoughts on my options:

1 - Bundle and zip-tie the extra
2 - Crimp the two together (bullet connectors or just a crimp connector)
3 - Solder the two together and heat-shrik

Thanks

Dave

You don't' say how much slack but I say bundle and zip tie. No need to introduce failure points imo.

BTW, since it's wire, you should be able to work the slack to places where you can conveniently hide it.

Up to 2 ft on a couple...it is all under the drivers fender...so there is tons of room.

Used a black wire loom down the back side and then into a perfectly sized gap in the hood..can't even tell it is there.

I had previously ran a remote + terminal to the drivers fender area, so everything is nice and tidy there now....

The wires for the switch go through the main bung into behind the instrument cluster.
