Has anyone put something like this together to convert the 7 pin Euro plug to a standard 7 blade electric brake plug? Does anyone know a reason why it wouldn't work stringing the two adapters together, tapping into the brake light and running a hot 12V to the trailer battery?

It's not the neatest/cleanest solution in the world so if anyone has come up with a better one please let me know.

Thanks

I have not looked at the 7-pin US trailer plug, so I can't add on that front.
The "Defender" euro-7-pin to US-4-pin is a pass through -but- you have a converter box that mixes stop and turn signals that feeds the euro-7-pin plug. Not sure why LR went with that 7-pin euro plug on the US market.... likely because the step bumper design included the euro plug holder.
I'll look at the wiring for the 7-pin socket but I have not seen it on any trailer myself, so likely designed for specific towing requirement?
