I laid down dynamat under all the panels (tranny cover, floor boards, seatbox), put down some cheapo foil and carpet looking stuff under the rubber floor mats, and sealed the joints between the panels with this stuff:

I went from 2nd degree burns to flip flops no issues.

All the boots around shifters, e-brake, transfer case in good condition and properly attached? What about heat from the pedal box? I have, on past vehicles, attached rubber baffles around all pedal openings with rubber tool box liners which worked nicely but I had a pretty ratty old '84.

Land Rover birth control.

CATs get hotter when burning excess hydrocarbons. Do you ever have a gas smell when starting or driving? Your O2 sensors could be bad and cause it to run rich. This will make the CATs cherry hot.

I believe this is the modification you are looking for.

Is that the six inch version or the eight inch?
