Whom rebuilds r380's in the US?

Have one that us a good core and was thinking I should rebuild it for use in my truck (eventually) when I do the new motor.
It's a v8 tranny and at this point I will probably do a v8 again instead of all the hassle of converting to a diesel (which I would like but at 3x the cost I don't see the upside.

Thanks

I'm not sure of anyone that does R380s on the east coast specifically, but if you find someone please update this thread, I'm subscribing. As much as I love Ashcroft, I really don't want to send my trans to the UK.

Rob is your stateside resident expert. think it was $500 for him to rebuild plus shipping both ways.

Domestically, I can't imagine why one would go anywhere else but Rob D.

i looked into both, and was still able to get a rebuild with no core from ashcroft for less and only took a week.. Rob's advantage is stateside warranty

I think $500 is an old number, last I talked to him $500 was the labor not including rebuild kit and any parts.

Sometimes the better deal isn't always the cheapest.... I mean Mark, I could send you any mug....but I know there's only one you want.....

Not doubting Ashcroft's quality at all

Another recommendation for Rob/Southwest Rovers. Seen the shop, seen his work. Heard him called the "Rover witch doctor and shaman of trail repair." What more could you ask?

Suppose it's a silly suggestion to swap in a zf4hp22? Way more long lasting than the r380.

I had a guy in SD do it. I bought the synchros from rob I believe. Tranny worked fine but if I had the time for the truck to be non op I would definitely go with Rob D!
