They're still as tall as the others. When it gets warm around here my plan is to adapt the stock tread steps to quick connect onto the slider.

Weld two L-tubes onto the stock steps, pointing up. Of course, the height of the L's will depend on high low you want the step. Cut a hole in the bottom plate of the slider, fit (weld) a receiver tube in it and drill a hole (front to back, looking at the slider from the side of the truck) to accept the quick connect bolt. Do this front and rear on the slider - plenty of strength to hold anyone.

That's it - easy to remove the step before you head out trailing.

Now, if your girlfriend complains about the height WHILE trailing then leave her home.

I agree with Jimmy, I have those sliders on my truck, I really like the "nerf" bar feature. Plus you can't beat galvanizing. They also allow great access to the roof rack.

I have had had other rock sliders before, ECR ROX sliders are super nice, and Shrocks Works you can't beat for the money (less than $300 shipped, when I bought them). But in the end, I think I like the Scorpion ones the best, because of the side step.

Yup, haven't figured out buiding a flip up side step for the Rokware sliders.. Running around like a butler to fetch the step stool is a bummer..
