who make this style of bonnet/hood chequer plate

i found an article (i think in LRO) online about refinishing chequer plate. i don't have chequer plate yet but need it to cover my aging hood with decommisioned wheel mount.

the chequer plate is different than the ones typically sold and so i was wonder who makes or who made it.

thanks

Why? Standard center plate covers the middle of the bonnet - if your bonnet is trashed on the upper section you may be better repairing it, or replacing it.

X2 a used take off can't be more than a $500 puma replacement. And I bet someone on the board has one lying in the shop

Here is the article. Its aftermarket. Ask them where it came form.

not puma, its a shadow, not a bulge.

That hood plate gives ME a bulge... I like..and the ribbing in it would make it much stronger than the stock ones... My truck has on that goes out to the outer ridges but they put some spacer material under the centre section.. Looks a bit bobo but is much better for walking on... If you find who made it let me know..

Thanks for the suggestions.

I could easily find a regular chequer plate piece but that's what everyone or everyone with chequer plate has. This one looks a bit cooler and unique.

I might go the puma hood route but will search a bit more for this plate first. That way I won't have to paint a new hood

I think it looks good! I've even seen a 5-bar bonnet plate a bit wider! I don't remember where but I remember thinking that I needed it! It came all the way out to the top of the radius of the of the bonnet and looked fantastic! It would cover up my dents nicely! ;-)

Plenty of advertisers in various LR magazines. Either order direct or see if Trevor or Justin will get them for you.
