Who besides ECR does Manual-to-Auto Conversion on the East Coast?

Just curious if there is another shop besides ECR on the east coast performing manual to auto conversions? Already sent a quote request to ECR and wanted to see if there was anyone else I should check with. Also, what price range am I looking at for the conversion?

There are a bunch of threads on who does full restorations, etc. Check those threads, as pretty much all of them will be able to do this. I'm sure you've seen the work that SafariHP has been doing lately as well.

mechanically not complicated at all.
The details come when you are getting the interior to the style you want it to be. For some that would involve getting the Ashcroft console, for others, something simpler more metal based works.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm really looking for a "factory" look, or at least that's where I'm leaning at the moment.

Aschroft kit is mostly Rover parts, definitely a slick kit.

I vouch for Alan. Great guy and great work at reasonable rates.
Small, very hands-on shop.

Alan is fine, I work with Brian Rossini, who opened his own shop just a few miles away.

Probably easier to just get a 97, you get the factory look and feel.

Having to search for another in similar condition, along with just having redone the interior, means for me it will be easier to work off what I have.

WCR 4x4 (formerly West Coast Rovers) does it in Irvine, CA as well as Cerrone's in Redwood City, CA. Neither of them are close to you but if you are on the west coast both of those shops do it.

Got my truck done from RHD Manual, to LHD auto by Stephen at SafariRover in 2008. (Got the bulkhead swapped, as well as the transmission) I know he has since changed the shop name. (First couple of days I've been on D90.com in like 6 months). But, the work was excellent, and he's a great guy. The shop was located in Orlando, FL.

I converted Trae Reuwer's 94 to an auto with an Ashcroft kit, (and then a few years later swapped it back to a R380).
This week we've fitted an Ashcroft 4HP 22 with all HP24 internals and converted the BW to a LT230 on a 95 SWB RRC.
Planning on the same thing to my RR next week- she's been off the road since the VOT in August!
And I'm not that far away......!

My clutch master cylinder died this morning, so I'm contemplating either fixing it or converting to an auto transmission. Besides the shifter and console, what is involved in switching to an auto transmission? I'm sure this has been discussed, and Josh, I know you'll point me in the right direction I'd search if I weren't relying on my iPhone right now...
