Which way does the door hinge go on?

I removed my old door hinges and did not pay attention to which way they were when I took them off. Now that I am trying to put them back on I realize the the hinge is shaped like a wedge and I don't know if the thicker part of the hinge goes up or down. Does anyone out there know what I am talking about? Which way do they go?

If I remember correctly the wider part goes on the bottom... but don't hold me to that. I don't have my truck with me to look. I'm sure someone else will look for you.

Thicker at the bottom. This tilts the hinge so that the door will swing towards the car by itself.

Thicker on the bottom. That makes them auto-close as opposed to auto-stay open.
