where to source side window felt

My sliding side windows rattle while driving. I noticed the felt is pretty worn out. Anyone know where I can buy the replacement felt?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks everyone for your interest in this product. Sorry to all of those who had difficulty installing the extrusion. I have listened to those who have had difficulty with the installation and have redesigned the product. I also found a new supplier and had the extrusion run at a softer durometer. I am just waiting on the container to arrive and should have new kits available by the end of January.

Additionally there will be a kit for the rear sliding windows on the hard tops available by the end of January as well.

If you want to be added to my announcement list, just shoot me an email to paul@garrisonoutfitters.com and I will let you know as soon as they are available. Please specifiy if you are looking for the hard top kit or the soft top kit.

Happy Holidays!

Paul

britpart felt from any uk supplier ... the fitting is not hard once you come to terms with having to remove the whole window frame.

I guess it is completely impossible to replace the felt without removing the windows.

Smile Kits Are Now Available!

Hi everyone,

Well both kits are now available! Our website does not yet have the kit for the rear sliding windows up, but you can read the description on eBay. http://myworld.ebay.com/garrisonoutfitters I have also attached some product images to this message. Both products are complete kits that fix both the driver and passenger side windows.

For customers that were on the e-mail waiting list, I sent out the emails on Jan 31st. Please check your spam folders if you did not hear from me!

The new kit for the rear sliding windows contains the following:

• 2 x 5-ft flocked rubber extrusions (completes both rear sliding windows)
• 50 x Sealed POP® Rivets
• 1 x 3 oz bottle of GooGone®
• 1 x 3M® Final Stripping Pad
• 1 x Wooden width-gauge disc
• 1 x #2 Pozidriv ACR bit
• 1 x Full color illustrated installation guide

The rubber channel for the removable door top kit was retooled with a different supplier and run at a softer durometer making it much easier to install. The rear window kit is also run in this same rubber and from the same supplier.

Both kits retail for $89.99 and we’re offering 10% off to D-90 Source members. We are in the process of updating our shopping cart to accept discount codes so, in the meantime, you can get the 10% discount by using the following links;

I have a 1985 SW, the windows appear to be the same, but you listing says 87 and up. I was wondering if they would work for me?

For what it's worth, I have ordered & received Paul's window channel kit. I can say that's it a very nice piece of kit... well thought out, instructions even I almost understood, and a nice minnie bottle of goof-off to boot. The window channel (along with a slew of other work) is being done to the 90 as we speak. As soon as I get it back I'll report with final thoughts, but for those of you on the fence, this seems like a no brainer.

I rec'd my kit as well, and all I can say so far (without having had the chance to install them yet) is wow! Not only has Paul provided what appears to be a top-notch product in the window seal itself, but his 10-page instructions booklet includes both VERY detailed disassembly and removal of your old door tops and seals, as well as equally-detailed inscructions on how to install his own own product. The booklet also includes additional tips to ensure a proper fit for all the variations in specs we've come to know and love from one d90 to another. Can't wait for my rivet gun to arrive to get this in! No more, "Lock the freaking window in place already so that it stops rattling!" Passger: "It's already locked..."
